Bandit Beginner Ensemble — Supported by the Glenorchy Community Fund

Glenorchy City Brass is delighted to see our new beginner ensemble, Bandit, now up and running.

Bandit has been created to give young people the chance to learn a brass instrument, make music with others and take their first steps into banding in a friendly and supportive environment.

The ensemble has been made possible through the support of the Glenorchy City Community Fund, which provided a grant to help purchase instruments for our new players.

We are very grateful for that support, as well as the generous time given by our Musical Directors and band members who have helped bring the program to life.

It has been wonderful to see the group already rehearsing together, learning the basics and enjoying the experience of making music as an ensemble.

Bandit is still welcoming new players. No previous musical experience is needed, instruments are provided, and a low participation fee helps cover tuition and instrument use. All adults involved in the program hold current Working with Vulnerable People registrations.

We’re excited to see how Bandit grows and look forward to welcoming more young musicians into Glenorchy City Brass
